Platinum Jubilee Celebrations Friday
Callington Combined Churches are delighted to be involved in HM Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend Celebrations. We will be hosting a Cream Tea in the Town Hall with a live streaming of the Service of Thanksgiving from St Paul’s Cathedral. The Kelliwik
Orchestra will be playing and a mural portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth by local artist Sue Pell will be unveiled. Numbers are limited, so pick up your Free Tickets from The Snack Stop or Paper Phil’s in New Road.
We will also be in the Marquee at Saltash Road Recreation Ground having fun with Celebration Messy Church & Circus Skills for all ages. Children please bring a well behaved adult with you. Our friends from Oriel Ministries are bringing the Pulse Bus to Callington for the day – step aboard for great activities for young people. At 6:30pm we are hosting a time of band-led worship followed at 7:30pm with a joint Commemorative Service ‘Jubilee Joy’ with the Royal British Legion. Pasties and hot and cold drinks will be on sale.
